The exterior shell is 100% Nylon, all seams are sealed and there are pit zippers to control ventilation.All zippers are waterproof YKK.Cuffs are adjustable with Velcro.The RECCO device in the right, upper sleeve is an avalanche detector. This would be an excellent shell for skiing as the System 3 waterproofing is extremely waterproof and only a light fleece layer underneath is needed.For summer, spring and fall, this jacket alone is perfect and packable.
