How RimMount works The Earthworks RM1 RimMount simplifies your drum setups by letting you mount your Earthworks Drum Periscope and Periscope Series Mics directly on the rim of the snare or toms. The top of the RM1 - as well as the entire metal bracket - is coated with a protective layer of polyolefin to protect the drum rim and drum shell from being damaged. The RM1 is fitted with a rotary thumbscrew attached to a multi-slotted Delrin jaw that can be easily aligned with the underside of a metal drum rim. The RM1 sports a rubber sleeve that securely holds a Drum Periscope or Periscope microphone, and allows for the mic to be slid up or down to adjust the height of the microphone capsule relative to the drumhead.
