Description: This is one of Ansonia’s early cottage clocks with a reverse painted tablet. The clock is in nice antique condition with no major issues, but expect a scuff or two. The clock has a good and readable label and appears to be largely original. It’s probably a pre-1900 clock. This one has an 8 day movement and chimes on the top of the hour. These early clocks often don’t chime on the 1/2. The clock was wound and ran while it was being listed and it chimed when the hands were cycled, but it is not tested for accuracy or run duration, so it’s being sold as found for restoration. It’s a nice little clock that will fit into any collection. It’s priced to sell so don’t miss it!
