For example if you need 21 inches, simply buy the 2ft. strip and then cut off the excess 3 inches with a pair of scissors. OR if you need 30 inches you would buy the 3ft. strip and then cut it to fit with a pair of scissors. Additional glues may be necessary to adhere to your particular surface. I found that hot glue works the best. You may use whatever you are best familiar with. The lights have 3M double sided tape but it just hold the lights while you do the install. Once again a little dab of hot glue here and there is your best friend with these lights. PLEASE leave us a message about the color you want, if you do not leave a color choice at the time of purchase we will send the default color of BLUE.
