Diamond Owl Pendant in Sterling Silver w 14K Crest by Alwand Vahan on 18" Chain

Description: Hoot! A tiny owl slider pendant pavé-set with brown & white diamonds on an 18" rope chain. The pendant is 13.5mm x 10.6mm (roughly 1/2" x 3/8"). Box construction (i.e., this bird has full back and sides) with an openwork back. Stones test as diamonds; they're commercial quality and very small but they get the job done. There are 18 brown diamonds and 5 white diamonds and none of them are bigger than 1.2mm. The total carat weight is probably no more than 0.10 carats. The eyes are either oxidized silver balls or hematite. The silver underneath the brown diamonds has been oxidized for contrast. The owl's crest is a small sliver of 14 karat gold. The inside of the pendant is stamped ".925" (for sterling silver), "14K" (for that small sliver) and the "AV©" (the maker's mark for Alwand Vahan, a New York-based wholesaler and retailer of silver, 14 karat gold and diamond jewelry). Sorry my photos of these stamps are so janky; they're on the inside edge of the pendant, behind the openwork back, so getting a shot in focus was beyond me and my phone. The removable sterling silver rope chain is 18" long, 0.9mm thick and has a spring ring closure. The spring ring is stamped "925." I received this pendant as a gift with the chain so I don't know if the pendant originally came with this chain or if the two pieces were sourced separately, but there's an illegible maker's mark on the spring ring that is NOT AV©. No missing stones. No chain weirdness. No tarnish. (I think both pieces must be rhodium-plated because I've had them for a while and have never had to polish them.) The total weight of the pendant and chain is 3.2 grams.
