It has the advantage of having 12 commonly used punch and dies set to go for punching sheet metal holes compared with a single station punch that would need to be set up for each size. Although gauging can be set up, center punched parts can be located with pointed center punching punches. It is particularly good for short production runs, prototype work and single part holes. These were commonly used for sheet metal hole punching before CNC's became widely used. Still, a very compact, short learning curve, useful quick, simple mechanical solution for hole punching. Condition:It is important to note that 7 lower die holders are missing as well as 5 upper punch holders. Since lots of these machines were made, they can be easily found on Ebay as well as lots of punches and dies. The upper turret locating pin raising mechanism needs work. There is no stand and no gauging. There are punches and dies in the holders that are there. The press can be put use immediately as-is as additional punch holders and die holders are found over time. It's a good way to get started in hand punching at a lower cost, adding tooling as you go as it becomes available.
