Possible dates for the lens are mid to late 19th century and covers 3.35x4.25-inch (Half-plate) formats. The lens measures approximately 115mm long including hood depth of 20mm; front/rear glass diameters are roughly 57mm wide. The lens barrel shows signs of aging, with some pitting in the lacquer finish. Optically the glass is clean with no scratches or balsam separation. Some dust, but this can clean off easily. The rack & Pinion focusing is is missing, as are any waterhouse stops. The Lens measures 80mm at the flange, and is threaded for a 75mm mounting ring.
