Like they were made in '59, the "Texas Bluesman" pickups are handcrafted with larger diameter alnico 5 pole pieces, and the coils are scatter wound with heavy build magnet wire. The larger diameter rod magnets give these pickups a clearer tone with a little more output. The middle pickup is reversed for humbucking in the 2 and 4 positions, and the bridge pickup is overwound. They say everything is bigger in Texas, and that was certainly true when it came to Stevie's tone!
