Each wood is hand-selected and then custom cut for the best figure and to try to ensure nicely matched grips front/back. Not imported or made with any CNC equipment, these are made one-at-a-time by a custom knife maker with over 25 years of experience. Templates, dedicated fixtures, and special tooling are used and each set is test fit to the Colt pistol (and its standard bushings) shown in the attached photos. You’ve spent a bunch of money on your pistol, so don’t settle for quickly made budget import grips that aren’t flat, have ragged screw counterbores, and use shortened front grips to avoid the plunger tube machining. This is a great looking set that is sure to please. It Features… Furniture grade Mesquite from AZ Shaped and hand sanded as usual and then very lightly bead blasted for a great grip. The harder wood remains while the soft wood is gently removed to a shallow depth. Matte finish with a light texture that runs with the grain.
