Description: Citrus maxima x ichangensis Ichang Lemon Up for bid are seeds of the Ichang Lemon. While this variety is typically considered a cross between Citrus ichangensis (the Ichang Papaeda which is extremely cold hardy) and Citrus maxima (the Pomelo), there are some sources that believe it may be a cross between the Yuzu (another very cold hardy Citrus) and the Pomelo. This is a beautiful small tree, that gets fragrant white flowers, and delicious huge fruit that are often grapefruit sized but with the look and taste of a lemon - they are full of juice and are wonderful for making lemonade or lemon pies, but can be used as you would any supermarket Lemon, these are just MUCH more cold hardy. It is a rounded upright grower, and this is evergreen. They are hardy to at least USDA zone 7b, and possibly colder, but they also make excellent houseplants in areas too cold to grow them outdoors. These plants would make excellent additions to your rare plant collection, or just make a unique statement in your yard. You are bidding on 5 seeds of Citrus maxima x ichangensis Ichang Lemon. As always you can save on shipping by buying more than one of my items, so please view my other auctions. Each additional pack of seeds ships for just .50. Thank you for viewing my item.
