Watch is in original condition Vostok watches were produced at ChChZ - Chistopol Watch Factory. This plant grew from scratch after 2MWF was evacuated to Chistopol during WWII. Later, when the war was over, the original 2MWF was reinstated in Moscow, and ChChZ was formed in Chistopol. Since the factory originally produced watches for the military, subsequent designs turned out to be very reliable and of high quality, all thanks to the high military standards preserved in the production processes. Polishing platinum, stones, and other aspects of wristwatches greatly increased the service life and accuracy of the mechanisms. The quality of the work was also appreciated by the Ministry of Defense, so Vostoks were often manufactured for military orders. Excellent maintainability made this watch popular throughout the USSR. The plant itself abandoned the excess machinery, and in its best years produced only 3-4 calibers. But still, production was quite high at up to 3,000,000 pieces per year!
