Description: California Missions Christmas Xmas Tree Ornaments Mervyn's Vintage Set of 18 Description and Item Information Up for sale is this set of 18 vintage Mervyn's California Missions Christmas ornaments. Please excuse any glare in the photos. These architectural ornaments depict 18 of the historic California mission buildings, with realistic details such as tile roofs, plants, and cross-shaped steeples. Included are the following missions: Santa Ines, San Miguel Arcangel, Nuestra Senora de la Soledad, San Luis Rey de Francia, San Juan Capistrano, San Francisco Solano, La Purisima Concepcion, San Carlos Borromeo de Carmelo, San Rafael Arcangel, San Antonio de Padua, Santa Cruz, San Diego Alcala, Santa Clara de Asis, San Francisco de Asis, San Jose, Santa Barbara, San Fernando Rey de Espana, and San Gabriel Arcangel. The ornaments have affixed hanging strings. To give an idea of scale, San Carlos Borromeo de Carmelo, which is the peach-colored mission located at the far left of Photo 1, measures approximately 2 7/8 inches long by 2 7/8 inches wide by 3 3/8 inches tall (excluding the hanging string). Some are heavier and some are lighter in weight. Unpacked, the entire set weighs 5 pounds 2.5 ounces. These would be fantastic on a Christmas tree inside an early California Spanish revival bungalow. Identification The ornaments have markings beneath, including the name of the mission, the date of foundry, and the name of the founder. Many of the ornaments have production dates, and these range from 1998 to 2001; some are undated. A few have "Made in China" stickers beneath. The ornaments also have markings beneath which indicate that they were designed for Mervyn's department store by Midwest of Cannon Falls. Condition The ornaments look very good overall, with light wear. There are no cracks or large chips. There are a some tiny, scattered fleabites/flakes to a few ornaments. The ornaments are dusty, and some have minor soiling. One of the two cross-shaped steeples on Santa Clara de Asis is missing. A few steeples on the others are bent. The ornaments have the original owner's name written beneath. Some have original price tags beneath. Payments must be received within three days of the end of the listing, unless prior arrangements have been made. 2. Shipping Good packaging is included; double-boxing is not necessarily included. Framed art will not be shipped unframed. The seller usually ships on Mondays and Thursdays. The merchandise will normally be shipped on the seller's next shipping day after payment clears. The seller is not responsible for the transit time once the merchandise has been accepted by the shipping carrier. Shipping includes delivery to a physical address via a method of the seller's choice.
