A Cake Mix is a 10″ x 10″ pad of triangle paper sized for using with Layer Cakes. There are 45 sheets in each pad – one for each piece of fabric in a Layer Cake plus a few extras for “testing”. Each recipe card (printed foundation paper) in Cake Mix Pad #5 will use 1 Print Layer Cake and 1 Solid Layer cake (or 3 1/8 yd required to cut your own solid background squares) to yield 4 – 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" finished half triangle squares and 4 – 3 1/2" x 3 1/2“ finished 4 Patches. So 1 assembled recipe card makes 2 - 7" X 7" finished blocks. The recipe pad includes five block options for the pieces made with the grid.
