Description: Presented is a great set of 6 Chinese export silver coffee or 5 o'clock spoons. These spoons date to around 1880-1900 and were made by Wang Hing, one of the most if not THE most renowned names in Chinese export silver. The spoons are done in a bamboo design, with a double shaft that terminates in a twist design with bamboo leaves in the center. The spoons have a faint gold wash in the bowls, some moreso than others. Of the six spoons, four have the maker's mark for Wang Hing stamped either on the back of the bowl or the back of the handle. The remaining two, although unmarked, are undoubtedly by the same maker, in the exact same pattern and size. The spoons are tested and guaranteed to be at least 900 purity. Each spoon is about 4 3/8 inches long. The total weight for the set is 86.8 grams or 3.1 regular ounces. -jm Powered by SixBit's eCommerce Solution
