Description: You're looking at an antique, French hand-made wooden folk art box in excellent condition and dating to the mid to late 19th century. This lovely piece possesses dovetailed corners, a partitioned interior and framed rectangle mirror on the inside of the lid. The honest patina just adds to what is a perfect storage solution for jewelry, keepsakes or sewing materials. I believe the original fabric-covered pad at the top was used to keep pins handy. Wear commensurate with age including marks, small chips, scuffs etc; which all add to the character and authenticity of the piece. Measures approx 11.75" long x 8.75" wide x 5.5" tall.
