Description: Brand New Burton Step On Bundle Burton Step On Ion Boots - Size 10 Burton Step On Bindings - Medium This auction is for a Brand New Burton Step On Bundle from the 2018-2019 season with medium size bindings and compatiable Burton Ion boots, size 10. Step On's were initially released in 2017, but according to Burton's own blog, linked here and the Step On homepage, the only major update over the years has been the Toe Hook version 2.0 from version 1.0. The update was made to address a clicking sound and reduce pressure points that some riders experienced in the version 1 toe hook. For additional information and a clear comparison of the V1 and V2 bindings, I recommend checking out this video. It also showcases the Genesis bindings, which as you can see in the video have a more flexbile Hiback than this model binding. In regard to the Ion boots themselves, the tech specs and details for the 2018 model are available here, on Burton's website, as well as listed below, and you can compare it with the current model here. From what I can tell, the 2018's and 2022's are virtually the same, both still using the Boa Lacing system and top of the line Life Liner. Personally, I own the same model/year of Burton Step On's and absolutely love them. They work great and are super easy to jump in/out of while waiting in the lift line or hiking around the mountain. The main difference I experienced from traditional bindings is that it feels more like being glued to your snowboard rather than tied into it with strap on bindings.
