Description: Budd's Beauties & Beasts #1 (Basement Studios / Amryl, 2005) CBCS 9.8 Authentic Signature (equivalent to CGC's SS designation) White pages. Signed & sketched by Budd Root at the Baltimore Comic Con in 2014, witnessed by CBCS. Extremely difficult to find issue. BACKGROUND NOTE: This was CBCS's first year (first major convention?) of their existence. I had planned on having CGC witness Budd signing this book, but a CGC witness wasn't available at the time, so I went with CBCS instead with all my submissions that day to see how they turned out (plus they were giving a significant discount on their services during the convention, so there was that too, haha). In any event, it was my first meeting with Budd. He was genuinely kind and asked if I wanted him to add a little remarque sketch to the book as well, which I was like, "Um, yes please." After a bit of discussion on where to place the remark, Budd decided to get a little "cheeky" and drew the little Meriem face sketch on her right cheek. You will receive the graded book pictured.
