Description: For your consideration is a fantastically rare but affordable edition of Anna Sewell's "Black Beauty". It is a paperback that was commonly known as a "dime novel" despite the cover price of a quarter, as part of the Sunset Series from Ogilvie Publishing in NYC. No stated printing date, however the series ran from 1891 to around 1910 and this is #86 in a series of over 350 books. Given that and the style of print, this is a very late 1800's edition. Condition is reasonable for a paperback "dime novel" that's over 120 years old. The cover shows notable creases, pages have standard tanning and foxing, but no moisture damage, no missing pages, both front and rear covers are well attached, and there is no writing internally. Rare to find in ANY condition, while this is no museum piece it is a very structurally sound respectable piece with tons of character and patina to spare. Definitely not something you can buy at Barnes and Noble! FREE shipping to the USA and I'm happy to ship internationally at cost. Thanks for looking!
