Dichro Color Head, Increase Magenta & you increase contrast. Increase Yellow and you decrease contrast. When I was custom printing B & W prints I would often use ONLY 1-3 points of Magenta to just Pump UP MY D-MAX, AKA Deep BLACKS, without effecting my Zone 8 exposures or details, (White with the slightest amount of detail showing) think of detail in the crystals of snow, that are not washed out but rather retain their details! It is more difficult to find a flow in your darkroom printing regiment, if your having to trim contrast filters and put them in & out of filter drawers holding drawers. it a real pain in ASS. This is one of the very most diverse enlargers in the world for printing negatives & transparencies up to 6X9CM size, BECAUSE you can make BOTH Diffusion COLOR OR B&W prints as well as B&W condenser prints!
