Suitable for steel or lead.Improved Cylinder – this choke has 4 hash marks. It measures .715" constriction which is a bit more open than the Mobil Choke spec of .711" and fairly close to Improved Skeet. Either way, this choke is great for skeet, woodcock, partridge, and is designed to provide an optimal 70% pattern within a 30" circle at 30 yards. This is also the recommended smoothbore choke for slug ammo. Suitable for steel or lead. Modified – this choke has three hash marks and measures .701 with a digital caliper, spot-on the spec for mod. This choke is designed to provide a 70% pattern within a 30” circle at 35 yards. This is a decent all-purpose choke, suitable for just about any target work. As the midpoint between cylinder and full, this is a good go-to to just keep in your barrel. Suitable for steel or lead. Improved Modified – this choke has two hash marks and measures .694" with a digital caliper; the spec calls for .696". Imp mod is designed to provide a 70% pattern within a 30” circle at 35-40 yards. This is a decent all-purpose choke, suitable for just about any further target work. Some prefer this for trap shooting. Lead shot only.Full –this choke has one hash mark indicating a full choke, and measures .686" which is right on spec for Mobil Choke F. Designed to provide a 70% pattern within a 30” circle at 40 yards. This is the choke for buckshot, punching holes in hard to kill targets, trap shooting, any time you need to punch it down range. Lead shot only. I might be splitting hairs here with these exact measurements, but want you to have the facts.
