BARK SPUD Antique Hand Forged 15" Long Early Log Cabin Bark Peeling Tool Clean

Description: Antique Blacksmith Forged Bark Spud, or Log Peeling Tool, in clean condition. This Spud measures 15" long, weighs 1 Lb. 4 Oz. and has a slightly curved 2" wide peeling edge. It's a socket type, and has as a short 4" wooden handle attached. I've used one of these to peel cedar logs for a log cabin I built in Maine over 50 years ago, they're quite handy! It looks a LOT like a Snow & Nealley but there are no markings, all worn off over time. It's rust free and has been lightly oiled for protection.
