Description: BANKSY 'Forgive us our trespassing' - original limited edition poster with original envelope and flyers RARE - "Don't Panic" - Sold Out Signed in Plate Limited Edition With folds as issued Size: 23" x 16.5 (58.4cm x 41.9cm) - A2 size Condition: very good The poster can be dry mounted before framing so that the folds are diminished, and not noticeable. My recommendation is to leave as it is for maximum investment value. The poster is in very good condition. Some minor creasing visible but negligible. Currently selling in high street galleries, and auction houses. Get them while you can. Soon be the next big Banksy print, like all the ones before. Almost a decade after the 2000 Don't Panic collaboration, Banksy rose from street artist to cause célèbre. In 2010 Banksy came back with a new poster to celebrate the launch of his then new film Exit Through The Gift Shop. This poster is entitled 'Forgive Us Our Trespassing'. Exit Through The Gift Shop is a mockumentary "edited" by Banksy, in which a film-maker hanging out with key street artists decides to cash in on the art world's credulity himself - The Telegraph, 6 March 2010. Entitled Forgive Us Our Trespassing, the very same image can also be found on a wall in Salt Lake City, Utah. The original Esso poster has become a huge collector's item, the 2010 poster was originally available free from Don't Panic packs across the UK. Banksy is an anonymous England-based graffiti artist, political activist and film director. His satirical street art and subversive epigrams combine dark humour with graffiti executed in a distinctive stenciling technique. His works of political and social commentary have been featured on streets, walls, and bridges of cities throughout the world. Banksy's work grew out of the Bristol underground scene, which involved collaborations between artists and musicians. Banksy says that he was inspired by 3D, a graffiti artist who later became a founding member of the English musical group Massive Attack. Banksy displays his art on publicly visible surfaces such as walls and self-built physical prop pieces. Banksy does not sell photographs or reproductions of his street graffiti, but art auctioneers have been known to attempt to sell his street art on location and leave the problem of its removal in the hands of the winning bidder. Banksy created a documentary film, Exit Through the Gift Shop, billed as "the world's first street art disaster movie", which made its debut at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival. The film was released in the UK on 5 March 2010. In January 2011, he was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Documentary for the film. In 2014, he was awarded Person of the Year at the 2014 Webby Awards. Please look at my other items including rare modern and contemporary art and design pieces. Thank you.
