Description: This beautiful antique mantle clock is a true gem for any collector or enthusiast. Made by William L. Gilbert Clock Co. in Winsted, CONN. in 1807, it features a stunning polygon shape and is signed by the designer himself. The clock is made of high-quality mahogany, brass, and glass materials, with a brown finish that adds to its Victorian-era charm. winding power source and a mechanical movement. It also features a chime sequence of Bim-Bam and an 8-day clock type. This mantle clock is perfect for any room and weighs 11 lbs. Don't miss the chance to own a piece of history with this original antique clock. Flaws: door hinges have been modified or broken over time. I have photo’s of those changes. I did no modifications. Just cleaning and oiling. Note: the mechanism does operate. I learned that components are missing that restrict the coordination of accurate time and chimes. I therefore will not sell as ‘operating’. One with more experience, probably, can quickly resurrect this piece to full operations.
