Description: Asahi SMC Takumar - f2 55mm M42 (screw) mount lens - parts or repair - see below.The lens in the pictures is the actual item being offered.Pictures are part of the description.The lens looks to be in good condition (external).Upon inspection I noticed the following issues:1. Focusing ring is somewhat tight at times. When rotating the focusing ring through the range it seems to stick at times and also sounds like something is grinding (granular).2. There appears to be some spider-webbing on the front element along the perimeter of the lens between the lens size (55) and the word "Asahi."3. The aperture ring rotates but is a little stiff.4. The aperture blades do not show any oily substance and seems to stop down fine but is a little slow on the snap return.Based on the above known issues this lens is being offered on an "as is" basis with no returns or warrantees.It can be worked on by someone who likes to take apart and try to repair camera lenses or can be used for lens parts.The lens will be shipped in a small cardboard box and will be packed with some extra packing material to further protect it while in transit. It will be shipped via USPS Ground Advantage.A tracking number will be provided as well.Thanks.
