Manufactured by Green Frog Productions in 1995, the tapes play beautifully and have been double-checked. This video set provides an introduction to the entire project of building a model railroad. Design concepts, major elements in the construction of the layout, and operational possibilities are described. The original design of this layout was conceived by Jim Hediger, senior editor at Model Railroader magazine. The Green Frog staff then took Jim's drawing and made a working plan for the construction of the layout using the computer aided design program, CADrail. The set also features a visit to a hobby shop for an introduction to what the beginning modeler might find in the way of kits, supplies, and help.
