Plus the accurate air plenum. This is like the Apollo A7L ring, in that is has a band-clamp style flange, for attachment to the suit. All machined, polished and anodized 6061 T6 aluminum. This replica is the same size as an original, but has simplified lock mechanism, perfect for you Apollo suit replica.To remove the helmet, pull out the front lock, just like the real ring, then rotate it counter-clockwise to align to the marks To lock, reverse the action. There are two "locator-pins" on the bottom of the helmet ring, that engage the air plenum, to keep the helmet from rotating, once inserted to the suit side ring. These replicas were modeled directly from real helmet disconnect and are nearly identical in dimension to the real thing.
