Description: Gorgeous Antique Oil Lamp, Converted Great condition! This lovely, eye-catching antique oil lamp was converted to electric at some point in its history, and now has been cleaned and has freshly updated wiring using vintage style cloth cord. The brass has a lovely polished finish, while retaining some patina in the crevices so that the ornate details stand out. The gorgeous glass ball shade, glass font base and chimney have no chips, cracks or stains. The glass base and shade have an etched / frosted finish with the timeless Greek Key design - the base has more texture to it. The knob for the original wick is marked "Made in America, Pat Apd For". No other maker's markings have been found. The base is brass plated cast iron and has a nice weight. The rest of the metal of the lamp is brass. Use 1 standard-base light bulb up to 60 watts, or use an LED bulb for any brightness you like, as they use low wattage for bright light. Light bulb not included.
