Antique Vintage Korean Elm / Brass Tansu Chest Cabinet

Description: Seller: Alley-Antiques DESCRIPTION: Antique/Vintage Cabinet Chest. Nice Korean Tansu Type Chest Cabinet. Korean. Elm with brass mounts. Probably dates 1920-1940. Circa 1920s. Nice shape and style. The elm has a darkened finish from age. Brass has a heavy darkened patina. It has 2 cabinet doors on top. 3 small drawers below to the right. To the left below the cabinet doors is a drop down flap. Vintage and probably almost antique. Good condition for age. All brass mounts in place. The cabinet door and drop down door would have had a koi fish type lock on each which is lacking, like most of these(easily replaced). On the 2 upper cabinet door now have some screws holding hinges in place to cabinet. The top has a few areas where wood is raised for some reason ( not a thin veneer blister this is solid but raised). Some stains on top as well. Upon close inspection you will notice scuffs, dings, scratches etc.. typical for age and use. I am not an expert on Korean furniture, so please ask questions if needed. It is definitely old, but exact age is hard for me to judge. Will be shipped FedEx. Although not really large it is very very Heavy. Keep that in mind for shipping or you can always pickup in Darrington WA for free. Measures about 23 3/4" wide by 13 3/4" deep and 26" tall at extremes.Pictures are considered part of the description. Selling as pictured( jewel box only).
