Description: Antique/ Vintage 17" Tall Blonde Mohair TEDDY BEAR, Jointed, Blind & Well Loved Click images to enlarge Description ANTIQUE/VINTAGE TEDDY BEAR Adorable old teddy bear measuring about 17" tall. Featuring jointed arms and legs, original felt pads, yarn nose and mouth, he is blonde (cream) mohair with short fur. Haven't a clue as to maker - looks like Steiff, but that's a guess - assuming 1940s in era based on the estate at which he was acquired - the original owner said his name was Peter. Condition is very nice - he is still firmly stuffed - arms, legs and head appear to be filled tightly with excelsior - his body is batting or similar filled, and he is blind at the moment, but the owner gave me the eyes she thought belonged to the bear, so I will include them. There is a bit of rubbing to the paw tips, minor soiling to the felt feet pads, some fur loss along the seams or at areas where he was held, carried or hugged, and a few random patches of missing fur on the back - none of this detracts. Think by adding eyes and a big bow, he would be just too adorable for words. Love the color - think it is unusual - hopeful someone wants to give him a home - hoping that is you - wonderful addition to any collection or display! If questions, please contact me - thanks!
