Description: This is a beautiful condition quarter-sawn Tiger Oak Arts and Crafts style humidor. The box is lined with milk glass which is miraculously intact after all of this time with no cracks or chips. The inner lid is lined with copper and has the original copper humidifier clip. Milk glass and copper were used for lining humidors in the early to mid 1900's because they imparted no scent and the hide glues used for woodworking in those days wouldn’t hold up in to moisture. The wood is smooth and very hard, with no noticeable scratches or marks. This is in remarkably fantastic condition for its age! The nameplate on the lid is blank and available to have the recipient’s initials or name engraved on the nameplate. The original paper on the underside is still partially intact and possibly covering a maker label or name. I decided to leave it up to the buyer to decide to look underneath or not. Outside dimensions: 10”X 7.5”x 5” Inside dimensions: 3”deep x 6” wide It is lockable but the key is missing. I believe they are easy to find on eBay.
