Description: These are sets of FIFTEEN (15) vintage antique found photographs (mostly 1900-1960s) with full names and often dates or locations, which you can use to practice honing your genealogy research skills! Great for individuals who like solving historical mystifies, and would also be good for creating activities for students if you are teaching genealogy workshops. You will receive ONLY photos that have either the full names of the people pictured (most common case) or something else very specific that you might potentially identify them with, like a house number, a specific job position in a certain place in a particular year, etc… I will give you a great curated variety mix from my collection of orphaned snapshots that have full names and other promising clues. It’s a good feeling to be able to solve an identity mystery using Family Search, Ancestry.com, or other sources, & then, if you like, to upload copies of the picture for relatives to see! :) When I had fewer photos in my supply I tried to do this whenever I could, sometimes even mailing the originals to family when they were actively searching for info, but I don’t have the time to do them all these days so I thought this might be win-win. I can send them to a new home to someone who might want to try to solve their mysteries, and you can practice your genealogical research skills! All of the photographs that I sell are original and untouched antique snapshots. the images in the photos are EXAMPLES, and not necessarily the ones you personally will receive—but they are decent indicators of the kind of snapshots that you will get!
