Description: Decorative, antique, quadruple silverplated bowl/dish. Early Naturalistic/Aesthetic piece produced on the heels of the Victorian period. Originally marketed as a nut dish but would also make a great candy dish or potpourri bowl. Stamped "PAIRPOINT MFG CO
QUADRUPLE PLATE 5532" on the bottom. Dates around 1902. Charming details: mini cabbages for the four feet; oblong main bowl created from large cabbage leaves; and realistic squirrel eating a nut. Free shipping. Very Good condition with signs of use. No monogram or engraving. Small gray felt pads were added to the bottoms of the feet. Measures about 11.5" long x 7.5" deep x 5" high (overall; top of squirrel) or 3-3/4" high (main bowl). Note: Wonderful classic from a bygone era. Design may have previously been featured in Martha Stewart Living magazine. Quadruple plate often darkens past polishing over time but can be enjoyed as-is or re-plated/dipped if a shiny finish is preferred.
