Description: This is a wonderful pair of very large Chinese carved bamboo brush pots having fine colour and patina dating from the late 19th century. Scholars study an unrolled scroll in a bamboo forest in the top half of the pots, with further figures in and around a pagoda surrounded by large trees in the bottom half. Dimensions: Height 36 cm x Diameter 11 cmWeight 635 & 702 g Condition: These pots are in fine antique condition with old ink stains and a lovely worn surface patina. A couple of the bamboo trunks have disappeared over time (hardly noticeable) and there are some minor splits on the outside which rarely extend to the inside.
