Description: Antique Late 19th C Pair of Colorful Chinese Porcelain Roosters This is a pair of large colorful roosters with an enameled surface from the late 19th - early 20th century. They stand approximately 15-15 1/2" tall, 9" wide, and 6-7" deep. Condition:The rooster on the left is in excellent condition. The rooster on the right has a hairline crack on both sides of the comb, and a small chip to the top of the comb, otherwise it is in good condition. (Please see close up head photos showing both sides of the rooster on the right.)There are also some minor chips around the base of the roosters and some firing cracks.Overall, this is a great pair of late 19th C Chinese porcelain roosters. Please note that the darker color on the bottom rim of the rooster on the right appears to be old putty.I'm assuming it was added to correct for a minor wobble. From a smoke free home.
