Description: I often accept reasonable offers, feel free to make me one! 10 inches tall, 3 1/2 inches across, and weighs exactly 14 oz. This is a really cool antique Japanese bronze vase, with a heavy and rich patina. Research dates it to the late Meiji era (Roughly 1880-1912). It has a thick, rich patina ranging from black in places to a dark reddish brown. Looking inside the neck you can see the roughness from the sand casting method they used to produce it, after which the outside and slightly into the neck was tooled down smooth. This is how they were produced back then at that time in Japan. It would probably also have been painted, but that paint is long gone after well over 100 years, as it is with other examples of these I have see - some have just the barest fragments of paint left. Wonderful piece for a lover of antique Japanese objects, at a price that will beat any other seller! There are many photos, take a good look! This item has no chips or cracks. This item will ship fully insured at my own expense (Not included in your shipping cost!). If anything goes wrong during shipping, you will receive an immediate, full refund including shipping. I also offer friendly local pickup, if you are in my area or passing through and want to circumvent the shipping cost or get it more quickly than delivery services.
