Description: We are offering a rare and lovely FOSTORIA store display lighted sign. Measures 12 inches long x 9 inches tall. This was found 25 years ago in the basement of a long-closed local variety store where it had been stored in a box for many years before that. When found, the internal wiring had deteriorated, so a professional electrical shop carefully replaced the bulb sockets and inside wiring. (See photos). The rest of the original cord is still intact; the only thing replaced was what's inside the light. Note there are some scuffs/scratches, etc., on the metal base...but overall it's stunning for its age. The sign is etched into the back side of the glass pane. The glass measures appx. 3/16" thick. (See photo). When lit it casts a warm beautiful glow. A lovely example of vintage Fostoria advertising from a bygone era. Please message with any specific questions. Thank you!
