Description: Antique Dutch Walnut Armchair Marquetry Inlay Circa 1735 A Dutch walnut open armchair, circa 1735. The chair features fine marquetry inlay on the front seat rail and back splat. It has a Queen Anne back and cabriole legs with shell carving on the knee, all ending in pad feet. It is 38" high at the back by 21' deep (front leg to back leg) by 22" wide (knee to knee) NOTE: all measurements given are the largest, outside measurements. The seat height is approx. 18" from floor to top of seat. The chair is solid but there is some inlay missing. Please see all photos. It has a very old finish, probably original, with good color and patination. The slip seat is very easy to re-upholster. The interior corner blocks are later replacements and there has been some minor repairs over the years. Guaranteed to be as described. We can restore the inlay if you wish.
