Description: For Your Consideration: An early 19th century Clodion bronze of a young female bacchante reclined and relaxing with her wine chalice and grapes among other objects. She is made with the highest quality and sits atop a heavy green marble base. The piece is quite heavy and weighs 5 lbs., 11oz. The marble base is heavy as well and weighs 6 lbs., 5.5oz. The overall weight is over 12 lbs. The Bronze measures 8.25 x 6.00 x 4.25” tall. The Base measures 9.25 x 7.50 x 1.25” thick. Note that somewhere along its life the bronze was detached from the base and the mounting screws are now missing. Bronze and base are in excellent condition.
