Description: Antique Chinese Blue Porcelain Vase, Decorated in Colors with Peony and BirdsThis vibrant porcelain vase showcases peony flowers and two birds, accented by an embossed curly leaf pattern that adorns the background—an unusual technique I haven't encountered before. The vase measures 4-1/2" in width, 9-1/8" in height, and weighs 540 grams. While it is in overall good condition, there are two small areas around the rim that may be chips or imperfections caused during the glazing process, as they feel smooth to the touch. There are also some minor imperfections from the original glazing process, suggesting that the technique may have been difficult to execute.The vase comes with a wooden stand and a custom-fit silk box, which measures 7" wide, 12-3/4" high, and 6" deep—perfect for both display and storage. However, please note that the glass on the box is broken and will need repair.The exact age of the vase is uncertain, but it is likely from the Republic Period or possibly older.
