Description: This is a 1921 (Year 10) Chinese Silver Dollar (Yuan) within a silver bowl. The Shi Kai figured coin within the bowl has some wear but all features can be distinguished. The figures on the bottom of the bowl are in better condition. The bowl weighs about 2 oz. It is 3 1/2 inches wide and 5/8 inches deep. The edge of the bowl is scalloped and indented. The interior is stippled, the bottom polished. The bowl is not hallmarked, although it looks and polishes like silver. Other bowls similar to this are .900 silver, but I cannot guarantee that for this bowl. Please see both pictures. They form part of the description. A twin of this bowl has also been placed for sale. Its coin is finer than this one. Find it easily by going to my other listed items.
