Antique, ceramic, c1880 transfer-advertised, LONDON Tooth Paste Jar pot lid

Description: On offer here is an antique, ca 1880 pretty scarce, earlier version of "Haswell, Vernon & Co's" LONDON, White Rose Paste, Tooth Paste container or "pot lid" as they are more commonly referred to.This transfer on the face presents very nicely, despite having a few "flip-side" and flange issues which you need to read in the Seller comments/Condition description above.This lid, I believe is the earlier version of this design, the main difference from the later one being the 4 thin border surrounds on this earlier version! So, quite scarce as a result!The lid measures 2 1/2" square and stands 1 1/2" tall when lid is on top of base section. I have reduced the estimated value quite considerably due to the old "fills" etc on the flange area.
