Description: ANTIQUE CANDLE BOX This circa 1915 pine wood sliding lid kitchen storage candle box with as found candles measures 11" long x 6-1/4" wide x 2-3/8" tall and weighs about 1-1/3 pounds with contents. It features rabbet joints, an easy sliding lid, and nice variable color worn blue paint that was a later addition. It was part of a large collection of painted wood boxes most of which were used for kitchen storage.
