Description: Known for producing amazing works of art, the factories and studios of the Bohemian region during the early part of the 1900s created a plethora of beautiful glass. Many companies produced clear blown glass in a number of colors, one such the rubina verde combination. Pieces in this hue have a rich cranberry blending into a green or yellow color; the latter shade often reacts in the presence of ultraviolet light. Pieces in this color are very popular and highly sought after in the marketplace. I firmly believe this nice example originated from this region. Besides the color, often times enamel florals decorated the outside; numerous tiny forget-me-not blooms adorn the body of this pitcher with gold flash accents. As one picture reveals, the item reacts brightly in the presence of ultraviolet light. The water pitcher measures 8 3/4” tall, 7 1/2” spout to back of handle and 5 1/2” across the widest region of the body. In very good original condition showing no staining or residue on the inside from use. I see no cracks in the handle or heat checks at points of attachment. I will mention and as pictured I did find one sliver chip in part of the fancy ruffled rim which tends to blend in and not show unless looking for this issue. I will also mention that some of the gold decoration has worn off due to use; I have included several pictures of these areas. Aside from the issue on the rim, this example will make a beautiful show piece in any display. Please view all pictures as they are considered part of the description. Please check back to my listings often as I will be posting numerous fine examples of glass, pottery and porcelain in the near future. Thank you.
