Description: Antique French copper roasting pan Full of character, this superb pan has been well used for many years in a professional kitchen. The sought after mark for J. Gaillard, 81 Faub... Paris has been rubbed very low from years of cleaning but is still visible. There are also the initials WL A, probably the initial of the original chef owner. An impressive pan which has received marks and knocks along the way. It was obviously loved as it has had some professional repairs to the base centre and the corners as shown. The pan is watertight and sits flat. The tin lining is darker grey in place. There is no copper bleed. Formed from one sheet of copper, there are dovetail joints up along the corners. The bronze handles are firmly fixed with large copper rivets. The pan is tin lined. Approx. dimensions - 51cm L x 35cm W x 9cm deep including handles - 54cm L x 15cm H rim 2.5mm weight 8.7kg Perfect for any copper cookware collection, this pan tells its own story, oozing charm and character.
