Description: Ok no This listing is for an antique 1938 original framed watercolor painted by listed artist SERIF RENKGORUR. The painting is of the ISTANBUL Waterfront in Turkey. Its frame measures 17 inches by 13 1/2 inches and is gold painted wood. The painting measures at . least 14 1/2" by 11" . I cannot see the exact size since the frame is sealed with a paper backing. The painting is signed and dated "38” in the lower left corner (see photo). The following is information I have found on the artist: Serif RENKGÖRÜR (1887-1947) is an artist born in 1887 The oldest auction result ever registered on the website for an artwork by this artist is a drawing-watercolor sold in 2002, at Arti Mezat, and the most recent auction result is a drawing-watercolor sold in 2019. The artist lived in Turkey. The painting is in very good condition for it's age. The matting is yellowed and there are some spots or speck on the painting, I believe from age, since it appears to be in the original frame? An online appraisal valued this painting at between $500 & $1,000 at auction. I usually ship by Priority mail. Occasionally, I will ship by parcel post or first class rate.
