The stamp is on the leg. This rocking chair was made between 1895 - 1921. This is a very heavy and sturdy rocking chair. It has been used throughout the years and does have some damage which is reflected thru the detailed pictures. This damage is very common for its age and still would be considered to be in good condition. Some restoration may be needed. Old Hickory Chair Co. used a incised stamp or used a paper decal. In some cases nothing at all. This rocking chair has the incised stamp. The early furniture made by this company had a simple weave to the seat and back rest.
