This map came out of New Universal Atlas, Empires, Kingdoms, States and Republics of the World - Philadelphia, Entered according to act of Congress in the Year 1850, by Thomas Cowperthwait & Co, in the Clerk’s Office of the District Court of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. The map, Page 49, with the border measures approximately 17 ½ inches by 14 inches. The map minus border is approximately 15 ½ inches by 12 ¼ inches. The border is frayed with torn pieces on edges and soiling from age. 200 is hand written on right side edge. The map only does not have any tears or soiling. This map is very fragile and is over 170 years old. This listing shows the cover page for New Universal Atlas. It is not included in the purchase. See pictures for details.
