This was a limited edition exclusive variant of the standard Vash Story Image Figure, distributed by Animate in Japan. It was most likely distributed with full-set pre-orders made on Animate Online at the time of the figures release in 2005. This edition features a different head sculp than the standard where sunglasses are present, similar to the "gunman in black" edition that was exclusive to the US. The figure is brand new w/ it's original blind box, though the box does have some minor wear. The animate exclusive sticker is present on the boxI can't preface enough just how rare this particular figure is, I check the Japanese market for Trigun merchandise about 5 times daily, and have only ever seen it pop up for sale twice in the last 7-ish years both of which I purchased. First one was for personal collecting, while this copy was bought along with a full box set so I could see if there were any sculpt differences with the other figures from the set (there weren't, only Vash has a exclusive variant). There are only a small handful of other Trigun figures that are rarer than this one, and while the difference from the original version is minor I highly recommend this pick-up for other serious Trigun collectors who want to own everything like I do. You may not see this pop up for sale in the English market again, as it's immensely scarce even within Japan We're collectors ourselves, we know how important it is to maintain the condition of collectables and how devastating it is when they arrive damaged.
