Description: An Evening Star is a vintage 1930s Alberto Vargas (Varga) pin-up print. Alberto Vargas (1896-1982) was a Peruvian-American painter of pin-up girls, and is regarded as one if the finest artists in his genre. Vargas dropped the "s" from his surname when he began working for Esquire magazine in 1939. An Evening Star is 5" x 6.5" and is in very good condition. There is some wear on the edges and corners.
