It was the first Gladiators series in the world and was recorded at Universal Studios Hollywood and later CBS Studio Center. It was hosted by Mike Adamle with Joe Theismann, Todd Christensen, Larry Csonka, Lisa Malosky and Dan 'Nitro' Clark. The show was refereed by Larry Thompson and Bob McElwee.
